Fiji’s islands and coral reefs are the perfect setting for a tropical island holiday. But while we love sharing our home, we’re also conscious of its vulnerability to damage and the need keep them healthy. Globally, Fiji is an active voice for climate change and ocean resource management. Resorts and tour operators all over Fiji are also helping build a sustainable tourism industry by greening their operations and supporting conservation and community initiatives.
From installing renewable energy sources like solar, going plastic free, reducing and managing waste and wastewater to planting organic gardens and offsetting carbon footprint through mangrove planting. Others are helping to preserve Fiji’s endangered and endemic species like iguanas, turtles and conserving large swathes of reefs, forests and islands in protected areas.
We’d love it if you could join us on this sustainable path. Every time you travel responsibly by wearing reef-safe sunblock, buying local products or choosing an eco-conscious resort or tour, you’re making a meaningful contribution to Fiji’s future.
