Where to Stay

Some of the best places to learn to surf here are in the Mamanuca Islands and on the Coral Coast. Accommodation options are endless in the Mamanuca Islands, ranging from small affordable backpacker resorts, to boutique hideaways. The island group is a popular destination for families and those seeking premier blue water sport activities like kite surfing, foiling, SUP or sea- based fly fishing. So there’s always plenty to do when the waves are taking a break. You can easily reach the Mamanuca Islands departing from Port Denarau Marina by scheduled ferry, private boat, or a scenic short flight from Nadi.

The Coral Coast is an attractive 1 - 2 hour drive from Nadi International Airport along Viti Levu’s scenic southern coast. It’s a popular region for those seeking a main island adventure where you can self-drive, or easily access the many resorts scattered throughout the snorkel- friendly coastline. The Coral Coast is frequented by those celebrating a special occasion, such as a wedding or family reunion, so finding suitable and budget friendly accommodation is very easy.

Reputable ‘Learn to Surf’ operators in the Nadi and Mamanuca Island region offer a resort pick up and drop off service. Costs are very reasonable and bulk discounts usually apply for groups of four or more. Same goes for the Coral Coast surf schools which is good to know.
