Go Island-Hopping in Yasawa Islands

Here’s a quick guide on how to get around the Yasawa islands by ferry with Awesome Adventure Fiji.

Resort transfers

Who’s It For: Anyone staying at a single resort for their entire holiday in the Yasawa Islands and needs a return ferry transfer to get there.

Details

Your most straightforward option. Book a return ticket to your resort aboard the Yasawa Flyer – a high-speed catamaran ferry - on its daily trip from Port Denarau through the Yasawa Islands and back.

Each day the boat departs Port Denarau at 8.45am and travels up the island chain, picking up and dropping off passengers at resorts along the way. The journey ends in the exquisite Blue Lagoon (northern Yasawa Islands) before the Yasawa Flyer turns and heads south again on its return journey to Port Denarau.

Pre-booked coach transfers from most Nadi, Wailoaloa, and Denarau hotels to/from Port Denarau are included in your ticket.
 

Bula Pass

Who’s It For: Anyone who has booked (or is going to book) directly with multiple resorts in the Yasawa Islands and needs an easy way to get around.

Details:

It’s basically a hop on-hop off ferry pass that you buy once and use multiple times to move between the islands on the Yasawa Flyer route. If you plan to stay in the Yasawa islands for 5-15 days, a Bula Pass is much more flexible and economical than booking the separate resort transfer sectors.

Pre and post-trip coach transfers to Port Denarau from most Nadi, Wailoaloa, and Denarau hotels/resorts are included with your pass.

Awesome Pass

Who’s It For: Anyone who wants to stay at multiple resorts in the Yasawa Islands but would love a little help with booking everything or who want a bit more flexibility.

Like the Bula Pass but with pre-paid accommodation included. The Awesome Pass bundles ferry transfers and accommodation together with a reservations team on standby to help you book accommodation prior to travel or as you go.

Awesome Passes are valid for stays that range from 5-15 days in the Yasawa Islands. 

Give the team your room type preference; Standard (basic with shared facilities) or Upgrade (private and mostly beachfront). Then choose the resorts from the selection offered and the number of nights you’d like to stay at each. Compulsory meal plans are charged separately and can be prepaid as part of your pass or paid at each hotel once in Fiji.

Itinerary Holiday Packages

Who’s It For: Anyone who has wants to see the best of what this region has to offer with island hopping and a range of must do activies already included in the itineraries.

The definition of fuss-free. Simply choose how long you want to stay in the Yasawa islands and find a package to match. There are five itineraries to choose from (ranging from 4 – 12 days) that bundle land and sea transfers, accommodation, and activities together. Compulsory meal plans are charged seperatly and can be pre-paid as part of your package or paid at each hotel once in Fiji.

So the longer your stay, the more islands you’ll visit and the more adventures you’ll go on!
