Katchalot I & II
both are 25' centre console boats which suit families on island hopping cruises, anglers preferring to fish inshore for walu or to pop for GT's and surfers wanting to enjoy the breaks with their own boards.
The Katchalot boats are rigged for light tackle fishing, bottom bashing and casting and are limited to inshore trips as well as on the outer fringes of the main barrier reef (weather permitting). The Katchalot boats do not have a game chair so they do not use bent butt rods and all fishing is done with stand-up rigs. The Katchalot crews target species such as mahi mahi, wahoo  and narrow barreled (Spanish) mackerel, casting for GT’s and handline fishing for reef fish such as coral trout. The Katchalot boats are rigged with Shimano Trynos 20 & 30 lbs reels for light inshore fishing.
Katchalot I & II have simple open layouts with no toilets or sun/rain cover.

Leisure Charters - for island hopping & snorkelling

Katchalot I & II can take up to 8 of your family and friends on a 4-hour or 7-hour island hopping cruise. Ask for options and what islands allow day visitors. Snorkelling equipment is provided.

Fishing Charters

Katchalot I & II take up to 4 anglers on game fishing charters for inshore trolling, casting and hand-line fishing.

Share-fishing charters

If hiring the boat is out of your budget, then consider the share-fishing option when spots are sold to individuals on 4-hour fishing charters. Katchalot has a maximum of 4 anglers on the share-fishing charter.
